We love working with Robyn Cage! Not only is she an amazing artist and song writer, but she always seems to attract the most amazing sunsets every time we shoot with her! 🙂 The Arsonist & The Thief is a touching tale of star crossed lovers set in the Utah desert.
I teamed up with some amazing people to film this short fashion film – huge thanks to everyone involved!! My very good friend and crazy talented Carla Boecklin co-directed and wrote the story. Our amazing actors are Shona Kay and Christoper Squires. Incredible set design was done by Haute Hostess (Emily White). Our hair and makeup team did an absolutely fantastic job: Carley Throgmorton Hair Artistry, Becky Pedersen, Lindsey Tausinga. One of my favorite apparel designers Lisa Mecham designed the dresses with additional wardrobe by Haute Attitude. Victor Rybovich was also on set along with Carla capturing some amazing photos. Robyn Cage wrote and recorded the beautiful song that was inspired by Carla’s story (it will also be featured in an upcoming music video!) This was filmed in the red rock of Moab Utah (one of my favorite places on the planet!). The motel scenes were filmed in the room John Wayne used to stay in when he was filming in the area (cool!)
Check out this brilliant cinematic remix of Robyn Cage’s “Burning Now” by Kristin Royal. We revamped the intro and the color grading on the video for the remix version. Its amazing how the music completely changes the feel of the video – so cool! 🙂
Here are some behind the scenes images from a recent fashion film shoot in Moab Utah. We shot in the rustic Apache Motel (in the room John Wayne used to stay in) and in the red rocks near the famous Slick Rock bike trail. If you haven’t been to Moab, its simply one of the most amazing places on the planet – especially if you’re an adventure junkie like me… 🙂
Kaitlyn Schwalbe has been dancing with Odyssey Dance Theatre for the last few years and recently her dancing career has taken her to Los Angeles. We shot this dance video in a parking garage next to historic Main Street while she was back visiting Park City for a few weeks.
I had the opportunity to shoot some video at the beautiful Waldorf Astoria in Park City Utah. This was a collaboration between Carla Boecklin and Kerri Allardyce who put together an exclusive spa/boudoir experience at the Waldorf.
